NATE Conference material

Thank you to those who attended the ‘Using Film for Reading and Writing’ session at NATE today. For those who attended, I have uploaded the resources in Dropbox – email me ( and I will send you the link. I will make some of these resources available to others on an open link soon, but I felt it was only fair to let those who attended have access first – my apologies!

You will find the PPT I used today and some other relevant files. The video clips are embedded into the PPT, so let me know if there are any problems.

I’ve added the Frances Hardinge ‘The Lie Tree’ extract and exam type paper (which I blogged about here). I’ve also added a lesson on comparing the old Roald Dahl story ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ with the Alfred Hitchcock presents version.

I get the feeling that this might be the last outing for some of these resources – time for a refresh, I think!

  1. Mr Hanson,
Thank you so much for sharing your resources, they have been invaluable for my year 11s.
